Vitamin D Plus is an Irish product containing the ingredients Vitamin D3, magnesium, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin B12. This product was formulated to include Vitamin D3 alongside some of the cofactors required to optimise Vitamin D absorption and utilisation. It has been reported that up to 50% of people are unable to activate Vitamin D in their body because of insufficient magnesium levels, as Vitamin D needs magnesium-dependent enzymes to convert the inactive Vitamin D3 into the active form, calcitriol 1. Vitamin D also relies on Vitamin K to maintain calcium homeostasis in the body.
